Implementation of the Critical Ecosystems Partnership Fund (CEPF) is mid-way through Madagascar and the Indian Ocean Islands (MADIO). A program evaluation workshop was held at Carlton Antananarivo from December 3 to 5, 2019. Since 2015, more than $10.5 million has been invested in the region, 57% of which is in Madagascar. In its current phase, the initiative has contributed to the conservation of 72 Key Biodiversity Areas (Bczs) in the Hotspot.
